“The Buddha in Suffering, Yet Full of Compassion”

In the final days of His life, the Buddha journeyed to Kusinara, even though His body was weakened and afflicted by illness. Yet, He continued to show compassion, loving-kindness, and Dhamma to His disciples and all who encountered Him. He taught that all pain and suffering are part of life’s nature—everything arises, exists, and passes away.

Despite His suffering, the Buddha gave hope to all, showing that mindfulness, compassion, and understanding impermanence bring peace and liberation. He traveled with a weakened body, but His heart overflowed with loving-kindness for all beings.

“Though the body may weaken, a heart full of compassion can teach the Dhamma and guide all beings to understand the truth of life.”
