ຫຼັງຈາກຕັດສະຮູ້ແລ້ວ ພຣະພຸດທະເຈົ້າຊົງສະແດງທັມໂປດສັດໂລກໃນແດນມະນຸດມາເປັນເວລາ 7 ພັນສາ ເມື່ອຮອດພັນສາທີ່7  ພຣະອົງຊົງລະນຶກເຖິງ ພຣະຄຸນຂອງມານດາ ພຣະນາງສິຣິມະຫາມາຍາ ຜູ້ໃຫ້ກຳເນີດພຣະອົງ ແຕ່ໄດ້ສິນພຣະຊົນຫຼັງປະສູດພຽງ 7 ມື້ ພຣະອົງມາຈາກສະຫວັນຊັ້ນດຸສິດ 

ເພາະພຣະມະຫາກາລຸນາທິຄຸນ ພຣະພຸດທະເຈົ້າຈຶ່ງສະເດັດຂຶ້ນໄປ ຍັງສະຫວັນຊັ້ນດາວວະດຶງ ເພື່ອສະແດງພຣະອະພິທັມມະເທດສະໜາ ໂປດພຣະມານດາ ແລະ ເທບທັງຫຼາຍເປັນເວລາສາມເດືອນ ຫຼື 1 ພັນສາ ໂດຍມີທ້າວສັກກະເທວະຣາດ (ພຣະອິນ)ແລະເຫຼົ່າເທບເທວະດາມາເຝົ້າຟັງທັມມະດ້ວຍຄວາມປິຕິ  

ພຣະທັມທີ່ພຣະອົງຊົງສະແດງຄື ພຣະອະພິທັມປິດົກ ເຊິ່ງເປັນທັມມະທີ່ລຶກຊຶ້ງ ລະອຽດ ບໍລິສຸດ ວ່າດ້ວຍທັມມະຊາດຂອງສັບພະສິ່ງ ໃນມິຕິແຫ່ງຈິດ ເຈຕະສິກ ແລະ ຮູບ ເປັນການສະແດງທັມຂັ້ນສູງ ທີ່ສາມາດສຳຫຼະຈິດໃຫ້ບໍລິສຸດໄດ້ແບບໄວ

ເມື່ອຄົບພັນສາແລ້ວ ພຣະພຸດທະເຈົ້າສະເດັດກັບລົງມາຍັງໂລກມະນຸດ ໂດຍມີຂັ້ນໃດທິບ 3 ຂັ້ນໃດ ຄື ຂັ້ນໃດຄຳ ຂັ້ນໃດ ເງິນ ແລະ ຂັ້ນໃດແກ້ວ ສະເດັດລົງມາຍັງເມືອງ ສັງກັສສະ (ປັດຈຸບັນຢູ່ໃນແຄວ້ນອຸຕຕຣະປະເທດ ປະເທດອິນເດີຍ)

• ທັມມະຍິ່ງສູງ ຍິ່ງເຮັດໃຫ້ຈິດບໍລິສຸດ ພຣະອະພິທັມເປັນທັມຊັ້ນສູງ ທີ່ຊ່ວຍຂັດເກົາຈິດໃຈໃຫ້ເຂົ້າເຖິງຄວາມຈິງແຫ່ງທັມ

 The Buddha Preaching to His Mother in the Tāvatiṃsa Heaven

Seven years after His Enlightenment, the Buddha reflected with deep compassion on the kindness of His mother, Queen Māyā, who had passed away just seven days after giving birth to Him. She was then reborn in the Tusita Heaven (Tāvatiṃsa).

Out of gratitude, the Buddha ascended to the Heaven of the Thirty-Three (Tāvatiṃsa) to preach the Abhidhamma—the supreme and most refined teaching of the Dhamma—to His mother and the heavenly beings. This teaching took place over three lunar months (one rains-retreat).

The Abhidhamma Piṭaka expounds upon the nature of the mind, mental factors, and material phenomena. It is profound, subtle, and precise—meant to purify the mind and lead beings swiftly toward liberation.

After completing the rains-retreat, the Buddha descended back to the human world on a celestial staircase made of gold, silver, and crystal, known as the "Threefold Stairway", at a place called Sankassa in present-day India.

• Gratitude to those who raised us: Even the Buddha, after attaining Enlightenment, did not forget His mother’s kindness. His journey to heaven to repay her with the Dhamma is a supreme example of filial piety.

• The higher the Dhamma, the purer the mind: The Abhidhamma is a profound teaching that purifies the mind at the deepest level.

• Boundless compassion: The Buddha’s teaching transcends human realms—He teaches not only people but celestial beings and all sentient beings.

• Gratitude is a noble virtue: It is a foundation of all goodness and a key to peace in the heart and harmony in society.
